ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W Gold vs Corsair RM1000e: Which Fits Your Build?
Both manufacturers list these as 1,000W power supplies, so check your case clearance and decide how much the stated warranty term matters. Corsair explicitly describes a 140 mm-long casing; ASUS lists 150 × 150 × 86 mm dimensions without labeling their order. ASUS lists a 10-year warranty and Corsair lists seven years, but neither term establishes product reliability or service quality.

The buying question
Which unit better fits the builder's measured case clearance and preferred stated warranty length?
The case-fit check depends on the case's own clearance limit and the exact PSU dimensions; the stated warranty periods are 10 years for ASUS and seven years for Corsair.
Quick verdict
Choose ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W Gold (TUF-GAMING-1000G) if
- You value ASUS's listed 10-year warranty term and have confirmed that the TUF unit's published dimensions fit your case.
Choose Corsair RM1000e (2025), 1000W (CP-9020297-NA) if
- Your case's documented PSU-length limit suits Corsair's 140 mm-long casing and its listed seven-year warranty fits your ownership plans.
When the recommendation changes
- Your case manual's supported PSU length or required cable space rules out one of the units.
- The warranty terms attached to the exact unit and seller you plan to buy differ from the manufacturers' listed terms.
The differences that matter
Psu Length And Case Clearance
ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W Gold (TUF-GAMING-1000G)
The ASUS US technical-spec page lists dimensions of 150 × 150 × 86 mm, but does not label the order of those dimensions.[2]
Corsair RM1000e (2025), 1000W (CP-9020297-NA)
Corsair lists dimensions of 140 × 150 × 86 mm and describes the casing as 140 mm long.[3]
What this changes: A case's maximum PSU length is a practical installation constraint. Compare your case's documented limit with the exact unit dimensions and allow for cable space; the listed dimensions alone do not establish fit in an unspecified case.[2, 3]
Manufacturer Listed Warranty Period
ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W Gold (TUF-GAMING-1000G)
ASUS lists a 10-year warranty for the TUF Gaming 1000W Gold.[1]
Corsair RM1000e (2025), 1000W (CP-9020297-NA)
Corsair lists a seven-year warranty for the RM1000e.[3]
What this changes: The published coverage periods differ by three years, which may matter to buyers who want the stated warranty term to cover more of their planned ownership period. Warranty length alone does not show reliability, claim approval, service quality, or exclusions.[1, 3]
Best for your routine
A buyer who prioritizes the longer warranty period stated on the manufacturer pages and has separately confirmed case fit.
Best fit: ASUS TUF Gaming 1000W Gold (TUF-GAMING-1000G)
Based on listed features, not comparative testing.
ASUS lists a 10-year term compared with Corsair's seven-year term; that is a coverage-length distinction only.
A build with a tight PSU bay where the case documentation calls for a unit no longer than 140 mm.
The better fit depends on your priorities
Corsair explicitly describes a 140 mm-long casing. ASUS's spec page does not label the order of its 150 × 150 × 86 mm dimensions, so confirm both units against the case maker's limit rather than assume the axis order.
Value and trade-offs
One or both observed offers have eligibility conditions, so no unrestricted price difference is shown.
No price comparison was performed, so this comparison does not say whether either unit is worth a price premium.
Current offers and price history were not assessed; no purchase-timing recommendation is made.
Limitations
- ASUS's US technical-spec page gives dimensions as 150 × 150 × 86 mm without labeling their order. Corsair separately identifies its casing as 140 mm long. Check the case maker's PSU-length limit and cable clearance before buying; neither specification proves fit in a particular case.
- The warranty comparison covers only the periods stated on the manufacturers' pages. Review the terms for the exact purchase region and seller; warranty length is not a reliability or service-quality measure.
- No controlled performance, acoustics, reliability, safety, or service-quality comparison was performed. Both manufacturers list 1,000W; confirm your complete build's capacity and connector requirements independently.
- Current offers and price history were not assessed.
Questions shoppers ask
Does the 140 mm versus 150 mm specification guarantee one will fit my case?
No. Corsair explicitly calls its casing 140 mm long, while ASUS lists 150 × 150 × 86 mm without labeling the dimension order. Use the case maker's PSU limit, the exact unit dimensions, and the cable space available in your build.
Does ASUS's longer listed warranty mean it is more reliable?
No. The manufacturer pages state different warranty periods—10 years for ASUS and seven for Corsair—but those terms do not establish failure rates, claim approval, or service quality.
Methodology and sources
Compared the dimensions and warranty periods stated for these exact models. The ASUS specification page does not label dimension order, so case fit remains conditional on the case maker's limit and available cable space.
