The buying question

Which manufacturer's published room-size figure fits your room at the same 4.8 air changes per hour, and which unit's documented controls fit your routine?

At 4.8 air changes per hour, Coway lists 361 square feet and Levoit lists 388 square feet. Levoit's product page advertises VeSync schedules; its manual describes remote settings and timer options. Coway documents on-unit Auto, manual speed, Eco, and 1/4/8-hour shutoff controls.

  • Levoit's listed 388 square feet at 4.8 ACH better matches your room-sizing target.

When to skip: Your room is larger than both manufacturers' listed 4.8-ACH areas, so neither published sizing figure answers your room-fit question.
When the recommendation changes
  • If your room exceeds both listed 4.8-ACH areas, these figures do not establish that either unit fits; compare another model's sizing guidance.
  • If you require a measured head-to-head room-cleaning or noise result, the cited sources do not provide one.

The differences that matter

Room Fit At A Matched Air Change Target

Coway Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH(W) Air Purifier (White)

361 sq ft listed at 4.8 air changes per hour (ACH)[1]

Levoit Vital 200S-P Smart Air Purifier (White)

388 sq ft listed at 4.8 ACH[3]

What this changes: Both companies publish an area at the same stated 4.8 ACH target. Levoit lists 27 sq ft more by subtraction (388 minus 361), but these are manufacturer sizing figures, not a controlled room-cleaning result or a guarantee for every room. Check your room dimensions and desired air-change target against the published figure.[1, 3]

The better fit depends on your priorities

Control And Scheduling Workflow

Coway Airmega Mighty AP-1512HH(W) Air Purifier (White)

The AP-1512HH(W) manual describes panel buttons for power, speed, ionizer, and timer; speed choices include Auto, 1, 2, 3, and Eco, and the timer shuts the unit off after 1, 4, or 8 hours.[2]

Levoit Vital 200S-P Smart Air Purifier (White)

The Vital 200S-P manual describes panel timer choices of 2, 4, or 8 hours, VeSync remote settings, and a 1–24-hour app timer; Levoit's product page advertises creating schedules in the VeSync app.[4, 3]

What this changes: Coway documents a one-hour shutoff choice directly on the unit, alongside its speed-mode buttons. Levoit's product page advertises app schedules, and its manual describes remote settings and a longer timer range through VeSync. The cited Coway materials establish panel controls but do not establish whether every app feature is absent, so treat app availability on Coway as unverified rather than a confirmed exclusion.[2, 4, 3]

A shopper who wants an app schedule or remote settings that are explicitly documented

Best fit: Levoit Vital 200S-P Smart Air Purifier (White)

Based on listed features, not comparative testing.

Levoit's product page advertises VeSync schedules, and its manual describes remote settings and a 1–24-hour app timer. Coway's cited manual documents the on-unit controls but does not settle all app capability for the selected model, so this is a documented-fit recommendation, not a claim that Coway lacks app support.

Limitations

  • The room-area figures are manufacturer-published sizing guidance at 4.8 ACH, not a controlled head-to-head result or a guarantee for every room. Room layout, ceiling height, and the air-change target you need may affect fit.
  • The manuals document different panel and app-control details: Coway lists its panel controls; Levoit's manual describes remote settings and timer functions, while its product page advertises VeSync schedules. The Coway sources do not establish every app capability for that model. Do not read that gap as proof Coway has no app support.
  • These sources do not establish a measured difference in real-world cleaning, noise, health outcomes, filter life, or reliability.
  • No current same-time offer or suitable price-history comparison is included.
